With the P&C AGM fast approaching, let's reflect on what the P&C do and why!
Events: Discos (for the kids), Trivia Nights (for the grown-ups), Open Day Fetes and Movie Nights (for the whole family) - this is where memories are made! After a few quiet years (thanks to Covid!) the future holds more exciting community events to enjoy. Next up: our school's 60th Anniversary celebrations later this year! Annually, P&C continue running the old favourites: Mothers/Fathers Day Stalls, Special Food Days, Morning Teas and Band performances.
Projects & Fundraisers: All those sausage sizzles and cake stalls raise important funds towards projects to benefit the students and staff of Peakhurst South, such as classroom resources, playground equipment and vibrant mural art. Our current project is a permanent outdoor barbecue area. Read more about past projects on our website.
Serving our students: Did you know, P&C volunteer subcommittees are responsible for the Uniform Shop, the school Band and the Canteen? All are non-profit, and as a parent your suggestions and feedback are taken seriously. More volunteers are always welcome, so contact P&C if you can lend a hand in the Uniform Shop or behind the Canteen counter!
Our Annual General Meeting is held next Wednesday 29th March. Be a part of your child's school life! Nominate for a position on the P&C Executive Team.
